A man and a woman have been arrested on serious assault charges following an incident at a house in Armagh on Monday night.
Police responded to a report of an ongoing domestic incident in the Rosemount Avenue area of the city at around 9.30pm.
A 31-year-old man was arrested at the scene on suspicion of a number of offences including non-fatal strangulation, assault occasioning actual bodily harm, and six counts of assault on police.
A 23-year-old woman was later arrested on suspicion of grievous bodily harm with intent.
Both remain in custody at this time.
Forensic officers were also called to the scene and police remained at the scene this morning.
