So forget about having to come up with ideas for what to eat and spending precious time shopping and cooking, and let someone else do the hard work while you indulge in a well-earned treat.
The two and three-course dinners offer a range of mouth-watering food created by award-winning head chef John Whyte.
The Friary Restaurant
The hotel prides itself on using as much locally sourced produce as possible, ensuring a dining experience to remember and giving you the reassurance that you’re ‘supporting local’.
For starters, choose from traditional Caesar salad, soup of the day served with a freshly baked bread role, or crispy deep fried mini chicken strips with Asian slaw salad and taco mayonnaise.
When it comes to the main course, all tastes are catered for. Opt for a juicy 8oz ‘Carnbrooke’ sirloin steak, served with peppercorn sauce or gravy, chips or champ.
Or choose from the catch of the day, Irish Drumgold pan fried fillet of chicken cooked in a red wine and herb sauce, roast of the day with champ or roast potatoes and all the trimmings, or chicken or roast vegetable curry with steamed rice and Naan bread.
And if you want to finish off with something sweet, you’ll be spoilt for choice with profiteroles, strawberry pavlova and cheesecake of the day.
The dinners are served in the stylish Friary Restaurant between 6.30pm-8pm. Two courses costs £26.95 and three courses is £28.95, with a £5.50 supplement for the steak.
