A new hot food cafe could be on the cards in Armagh city centre.
Plans have been brought forward for a change of use for a long vacant shop unit to be given a new lease of life on the retail front.
The property is at 39 Upper English Street, flanked on either side by the Minija European food market and City Tiles.
Neighbours have been notified of the proposals.
The applicant – a Mr Asen Mitkov – is seeking approval to open the new cafe enterprise and change the frontage of the property.
An application for full planning approval has been submitted to Armagh City, Banbridge and Craigavon Borough Council for consideration.
The plans are due to be advertised publicly next week and a decision expected in the coming months.
