After struggling to find her favourite treatment since moving to Northern Ireland, an Australian woman has solved the problem by opening her own lounge in the heart of Armagh city.
Owner of Lower English Street’s new IV Health Lounge, Kate Keenan has long been a fan of intravenous (IV) vitamin therapy – and she’s not alone – the treatment is also reputedly popular among celebrities such as Maya Jama, Adele, Victoria Beckham and Kendal Jenner.
Kate’s experience with IV treatments spans an incredible 15 years.
Armed with expertise and enthusiasm, Kate jumped at the chance to share her passion with the people of Armagh.
Speaking to Armagh I she said: “It’s very much apart of my routine now because I have so much faith in what it does.”
“I was having to travel all around Northern Ireland to find somewhere, it’s not as accessible over here and I believe it is an incredible treatment that should be available for those who want it”.
She attests that the therapy can help with all manner of ails including boosting hydration, energy, low mood and alleviating brain fog.
Kate explained: “Common diets and lack of sunshine mean that a lot of us lack key vitamins and minerals that the body needs to function on a daily basis at its optimum.”
“The health benefits from an IV drip are amazing as you are getting the vitamins injected directly through the vein into the blood stream resulting in a higher level of absorption compared to taking vitamins orally.”
Working alongside Kate is a small but expert team including prescriber, Siobhan and registered nurse, KerryAnn who administers your drip during your appointment in the lounge.
IV Health Lounge offers both vitamin drips and vitamin injections which Kate says are “ideal” for anyone feeling run down, fighting a cold or for those wanting to “boost their immune system.”
Prescriber, Siobhan, will discuss your current concerns with you to prescribe the right IV drip based on how you are feeling and taking in to account any current medications you are on and any medical conditions you may have.
Treatments are by appointment only and the lounge boasts ample on street parking.
The team at IV Health Lounge also offer pop-up clinics and are keen to partner with various businesses and destinations.
Group bookings are available on request and the team can cater for hen and stag parties and birthday celebrations to name a few.
