An Armagh church is ‘going live’ with the introduction of a new webcam.
Such a facility already exists at St Patrick’s Cathedral.
But now St Malachy’s Church on Irish Street is also introducing the webcam.
It will stream live footage from inside the historic church building 24 hours a day.
Armagh Parish says its introduction is “due to popular demand”.
A spokesperson said: “The webcam in St Patrick’s Cathedral has proved to be incredibly popular for parishioners near and far and we hope our webcam in St Malachy’s will be received just as enthusiastically!
“The webcam streams 24/7 – including all our Masses, weddings and funerals.
“The webcam is live and is watched by people all over the world, but we especially encourage families to assist their elderly relatives in getting the new webcam bookmarked on their tablets and computers.”
