OL Flowers owner Annette praises Armagh people for ‘keeping independents alive’

Armagh I spoke to Annette to get a quick summary of her two decades on Thomas Street

Annette Foster has been growing her floristry business on Armagh’s Thomas Street for approximately 20 years.

In a business like Annette’s, she sees people through various stages of their lives. She has prepared many thousands of bouquets for courting couples, helped to design their wedding flowers and provided thoughtful arrangements for the graves of loved ones lost.

Over the years she has forged a deep rapport with her clientele and credits her customers with “keeping the independents alive”.

We spoke to Annette Foster from OL Flowers about her years on Thomas Street and what she would like to see for the future of the city…

“We have been here on Thomas street for over 20 years. It’s lovely to be an independent business in Armagh.”

“My favourite thing is speaking to and dealing with the local people of Armagh.

“I find that local people will support local businesses to help keep the independents alive.”

“The main issue in Armagh for me is parking especially because customers are coming in to collect large or multiple displays which are difficult to carry a far distance.

“There is a loading bay across the street which customers also pull into but traffic wardens are on their backs almost immediately.

“It would be nice to see a slight lenience for parking as it only takes a few minutes to collect your order.”
