Police have issued appeals to the public for help in catching burglars who targeted homes in Co Armagh recently.
Constable Colin Payne, of Craigavon PSNI, explained that, sometime between 9.30pm and 11.15pm on Thursday, January 8, entry was forced to a house on Lurgan Road, Magheralin. The house was searched and a sum of cash taken.
“We would like to hear from anyone who has information in relation to this incident and can be contacted in Lurgan on 101, quoting ref: 3090115,” he said.
Police in Portadown are also appealing for information following an earlier burglary which happened at around 5pm on New Year’s Day.
Entry was forced to a house in Ballyhannon Grove. A bedroom was ransacked but nothing was taken.
Sergeant Barbara McNally said: “We would like to hear from anyone who noticed any activity in the area around this time or has information in relation to this incident. We can be contacted on 101, quoting ref: 1491010115.”
