Getactiveabc have just completed an inclusive 5-week programme in Richhill Recreation Centre for children with Autism to develop their fundamental sport skills in an environment that suits their needs.
Friends and siblings were able to join in too and it is hoped that Armagh Banbridge and Craigavon Council, working in partnership with Disability Northern Ireland, will be able to roll out this programme across the borough in 2022.
Armagh I caught up with Colleen Connolly, Inclusive Sports and Leisure Officer, to learn more about the programme and the importance of developing a range of stimulating and exciting activities for everyone to enjoy.
