Acknowledgement for the late Roma Corr (Armagh)

Roma Corr

Corr, Roma.

The family of the late Roma Corr wish to express our heartfelt gratitude to all those who have sympathised with us and supported us after the sad loss of our wife, mother, grandmother and sister. The kindness of our family, friends and neighbours will never be forgotten.

Thank you to all those who attended the wake and the funeral, left Mass & Sympathy cards, sent messages of condolences and floral tributes. Thank you to all those who brought refreshments, including Mulberry Bistro & Cordelia’s.

Thank you to all those who participated in the funeral Mass. Thank you to Roma’s niece Cathy Kelly and Patricia Hagan for the beautiful music, and to her daughter in law, Sian for her beautiful song. Thank you to Armagh City Hotel for the refreshments after the funeral.

A special thank you to Fr Thomas McHugh for the beautiful requiem Mass and for his care, support and friendship to Roma and her family throughout her time of illness. The homily was so personal and brought comfort and peace to all Roma’s family and friends. Thank you to Fr Barry Matthews and Fr David Nugent for concelebrating the Mass. Thank you to Sr Fiona Galligan who became a fast friend to Roma and who provided spiritual support to her and the family in these last months.

Words cannot adequately express the excellent care provided to Roma throughout her illness. Every single person provided the highest care and provided love and joy as they looked after Roma. She became so fond of each and every one of you. Our sincere thanks to Dr Eimear Moriarity, Dr Roisin O’Reilly and the staff in the Friary Surgery, to the amazing staff in Craigavon Area Hospital 1 South and Sharon Quinn & Kelly Harrison (Cancer Nurse Specialists), to the wonderful team in Southern Area Hospice, especially Lisa Mullin; to all the nurses and care assistants in Collegeland Nursing Home, to the Enable Care Team and the staff of McKeever’s Chemist (Russell St).

Thank you to all Roma’s friends for being so supportive throughout her illness and for looking after us as a family too. Your loyalty and kindness will always be remembered.

Thank you to JJ McArdle’s Undertakers for carrying out the funeral arrangements with such dignity and to Michael Vincent, the grave digger.

We wish we could acknowledge everyone individually, but please know we are deeply grateful for every single person who has helped Roma and our family in any way throughout the last year. A Mass will be offered in thanksgiving for you all.

Roma’s Months Mind Mass will be held on Friday December 22, at 7.30pm in St Malachy’s Church, Armagh. All are welcome.
