Acknowledgement for the late PJ Connolly (Keady)

Connolly, PJ.

The family of the late PJ Connolly wish to express their sincere thanks and appreciation to all those who sympathised with them during their recent bereavement of a loving husband, father, grandfather, brother, and friend to very many people.

To all those who attended the wake and funeral, brought mass cards, telephoned, sent messages or posted online their condolences, we assure you these were greatly appreciated.

Thanks to all our wonderful family, friends and kind neighbours whose help and support was invaluable over the wake and indeed throughout daddy’s life.

Gratitude is extended to the doctors and staff of Dundalk Street Surgery, the staff of Clarkes Pharmacy, Newtownhamilton and to the district nursing team for their constant compassion and care for daddy, which was nothing short of exemplary.

A special word of thanks to Father Sean O’Neill and Father Barry Matthews for the very personal requiem mass and to Canon Michael Toner for visiting Daddy every month. Thanks also to Sally and Aine for providing the music.

A special word of thanks to Keady Fire Service for the guard of honour and to Gerard McKenna and Turlough Toner from the retired firefighter association for the moving tribute bestowed on Daddy.

We offer thanks to Bridget Mone and team from Mone’s Funeral Directors for their professionalism and gentle guidance provided to our family during this difficult time and to Graham Parks and staff for providing food and refreshments.

It is not possible to thank everyone individually but we hope everyone accepts this acknowledgement as a sincere token of our appreciation.

Daddy’s months mind mass will be held in St. Patricks Church Keady, on Sunday January 7, at 11.30am.
