Acknowledgement for the late Oliver Connolly (Carnagh)

Connolly, Oliver (Carnagh). Oliver’s wife Teresa, daughters Louise and Nora, sons Edward and Declan and the entire family circle wish to express their sincere gratitude and appreciation to all those who sympathised with them during their sad loss. To all our wonderful and supportive family, friends and neighbours whose help was invaluable during this difficult time.

To all those who attended the wake and funeral, brought mass/sympathy cards, telephoned or sent messages of sympathy online, all these gestures were greatly appreciated.

We also want to thank those who helped at our family home during the wake. Those who provided lighting, the marquee and parking and those who brought gifts of food and made and served refreshments, we offer our heartfelt thanks.

To each of the priests, Very Reverend Fr Greg Carvill, Very Reverend Canon Michael Crawley and Very Reverend Fr John Chester, who visited our home and guided us by prayerful contemplation throughout the wake.

Our thanks to the Very Reverend Fr Greg Carvill for the beautiful and meaningful celebration of Oliver’s life and to Very Reverend Canon Michael Crawley for concelebrating. Thanks to Noel and Patricia for preparing the church and to Cathy Kelly and Patricia Hagan for the beautiful singing and music.

We thank the medical and nursing staff and chaplain, Very Reverend Fr Damien Quigley, of Craigavon Area Hospital and the Southern Trust Acute Care at Home Team. Also Dr B V Watters and staff of the Health Centre, Keady.

To the pupils and staff of St. Tierney’s Primary School, Roslea, who provided a special guard of honour accompanying the funeral procession into St. Mary’s Church.

To Granemore GAC for the use of their hall and to McEntee’s for the lovely food and excellent service for the post burial refreshments.

Finally, to Bridget Mone of Mone Funeral Directors, for the compassion and professionalism shown in her handling of all the funeral arrangements, thank you Bridget.

At the risk of forgetting to mention someone we trust this acknowledgement is acceptable as a sincere token of our appreciation at this difficult time.

Oliver’s month’s mind mass will be held in St. Mary’s Church, Granemore on Tuesday March 28 at 7.30pm.
