The family of the late Noel Courtney, wife Eileen, son Steven, daughters Nicola and Andrea, brothers Tom, Bill, Michael and Fidelis and their families wish to express their sincere thanks to all those who sympathised with them in their recent sad bereavement.
To all those who attended the wake and/or funeral, sent Mass/sympathy cards, telephoned, sent text messages, brought food, gave donations in lieu of flowers for ICU, Craigavon Area Hospital, or helped in any way your kindness was greatly appreciated. Thanks also to Cordelia’s for providing hot food.
Thanks to all our family, friends and kind neighbours who helped in so many ways, your support was invaluable during the wake. We would like to convey our thanks to the NI Ambulance team who attended Noel in his home.
Your compassion and professionalism will not be forgotten. Thanks also to the doctors and nursing staff in A&E and ICU, Craigavon Area Hospital for their exceptional care, compassion and support and to Fr. Brian Fitzpatrick for his prayerful and spiritual support to Noel during his short stay there.
Thanks to Fr. Barry Matthews and Fr. Greg Carville for attending the wake and for their words of comfort. A special word of thanks to Fr. Sean O’Neill for his compassion and thoughtfulness, in getting us as a family, through a very difficult time and for his celebration of Noel’s Funeral Mass which was enhanced by Eilis Fox and Sarah-Jane Kelly, with their beautiful music and singing.
Finally, a sincere thanks to Bridget, BJ and Laura from Mone Funeral Directors for the caring, dignified and professional manner in which they carried out the funeral arrangements.
As it would be impossible to thank everyone individually, the family trust that this acknowledgement will be accepted by all as a token of our sincere thanks and appreciation.
Noel’s Month’s Mind Mass will be celebrated on Sunday January 28, 2024 at 11.30 a.m. Mass in St. Patrick’s Church, Keady.
