Keep up with Armagh i

Acknowledgement for the late Malachy McCourt (Cookstown)

Armagh I death notice

The family of the late Malachy McCourt would like to express our sincere and heartfelt gratitude to all our kind relatives, friends and neighbours who supported us during our recent bereavement.

Our sincere gratitude to Fr Boyle for his spiritual support and guidance and for celebrating Malachy’s beautiful Requiem Mass.

A special word of thanks to the Eucharistic Ministers, the Church Sacristan and SonLight for providing the lovely music and singing which made Malachy’s funeral Mass so special.

The family would like to thank everyone who helped care for Malachy, especially the dedicated team of carers from the MacMillan Unit and all who took great care in looking after him in recent months.

To the doctors, nurses, and staff at Oaks Family Practice, to the staff of Boots Pharmacy Burn Road, to the district nurses and the dedicated nursing team from Northern Ireland Hospice, thanks for all your care and support.

We are indebted to all those who supported us, helped during the wake, sent Mass cards, sympathy cards, letters, messages, wreathes, floral tributes, and expressed their condolences via telephone and social media.

Thank you to those who stood along the route as we made the journey from the funeral home. We took great comfort on the morning of the funeral from the support of everyone who lined the funeral cortege route, from those who joined us at the chapel, and from those who viewed Malachy’s funeral Mass online.

A special word of thanks to the gravediggers who prepared Malachy’s resting place with great care and to all those who helped us in any way.

We would sincerely like to thank Colleen from Niall A Loughran funeral directors for the efficient, dignified, and professional way they carried out all the funeral arrangements during these difficult times.

As it is not possible to thank everyone individually, we trust this acknowledgement will be accepted as a small gesture of our sincere appreciation. The Holy Sacrifice of the Mass will be offered for all your intentions.

Malachy’s Month’s Mind Mass will be celebrated on Saturday March 5, 2022, at 10 am in Holy Trinity Church, Cookstown and can be viewed using the following link. https://cookstownparish.com/live-stream
