Acknowledgement for the late Malachy Cavanagh (formerly Moy)

Cavanagh, Malachy, R.I.P. We would like to express our sincere gratitude to everyone who sympathised with us on the sad loss of our much loved husband, father, brother, brother-in-law and uncle.

We offer our heartfelt thanks to everyone who called to the wake, attended the Funeral Mass, watched online, sent Mass cards, sympathy cards, flowers, provided refreshments and support or helped and reached out in other ways. Your kindness was felt by all and brought great comfort to our family.

We would like to thank Dr Francesca Morgante and all the team in the Neuro-Intensive Care Unit at St George’s Hospital for the care they gave to Malachy.
Special thanks to Fr Thomas McHugh and Fr John Hughes for the lovely mass, and their guidance and prayers. Thanks also to Emma McBennett and her accompanist for the beautiful music and singing.

We would especially like to thank Dermot, Neil and all at Quinn Bros for their kindness and the attentive, dignified and professional way in which they carried out the funeral arrangements. Particular thanks for Gary Currie’s repatriation services and bringing Malachy home. Thanks also to Brian Nugent for preparing the grave.

Many thanks to Marian and the staff at The Ryandale for the meal following the service.

As it is not possible to thank everyone individually, we trust this acknowledgement will be accepted by all as a token of appreciation from the whole Cavanagh family.

Malachy’s month’s mind mass will be celebrated on Tuesday April 11 at 7pm in St John’s Church, Moy.

“Always on our minds and forever in our hearts, may he rest in eternal peace”
