Acknowledgement for the late Liz Nugent (Tassagh)

Nugent, Liz.

The family of the late Liz Nugent (Dundrum House Tassagh) have requested that this acknowledgement is posted in gratitude and appreciation.

Liz’s husband Larry, daughters Mary and Ann, son Hugh, father Joe and brothers wish to thank all those who sympathised with them during their recent sad bereavement. To all our wonderful family, friends and kind neighbours whose help and support was invaluable over the wake and funeral and indeed throughout the years.

To all those who attended the wake and funeral, brought mass cards, sympathy cards, telephoned, messaged or posted online their condolences we assure you these were greatly appreciated. We thank especially all those who travelled a distance to share our grief.

Thanks to the very many individuals and businesses (Cordelia’s) who brought gifts of food to the wake and to those who offered floral tributes. Thanks to the ladies who made and served tea to the wake attendees and to the men who helped with traffic and general work around the house.

Many thanks to Corran Hall for the provision of chairs and crockery etc and to Granemore for the use of their hall for the post burial refreshments kindly served by McEntee’s catering.

We thank Fr Greg Carvill of CillChluana for his pastoral care of us and for visiting Liz in hospital and a very special thanks to Fr Sean O’Neill from Keady Parish for celebrating a very beautiful and uplifting funeral mass. Thanks also to Eilis Fox for her beautiful music which greatly enhanced the funeral mass and to Michael Fletcher for his fitting graveside song.

No words seem adequate to express our sincere appreciation to the nursing and medical teams of Craigavon hospital who compassionately care for Liz on her end of life journey.

Finally we thank the gravedigger for preparing the grave and to Bridget and team from Mone Funeral Directors for their dignified and professional handling of all the funeral arrangements.

At the risk of failing to mention someone we trust this acknowledgement will be accepted by all as a sincere token of our appreciation and gratitude.

Liz’s month mind mass will be held in St Mary’s Church Granemore on Sunday February 25, at 10:30am.
