Acknowledgement for the late Kathleen Kenny (Newry)

Kenny, Kathleen. Nee Matthews, of Hospital Road, Newry. Co Down.

We, the family of Kathleen Kenny, sons, John and Fearghal, daughters Margaret, Grainne, Katrina and the late sons Tony and David and all her beautiful grandchildren would like to express our sincere thanks to all our relatives, friends and neighbours for the Mass cards and all the messages of sympathy following our recent bereavement. Especially the donations in lieu of flowers, which have now been gratefully received by Newry Hospice.

To all our family/relatives and close friends who called at the family home, brought food, and attended the wake and funeral, we are extremely grateful.

We would like to reach out with sincere and heartfelt gratitude to all mum’s dedicated Integrated Care Team, Acute Medical Team, L&B Nursing Care Team, Bessbrook Respite Care Team, Stroke and Cancer Team, Brooklands Kilkeel Respite Care and a huge thank you to all the staff at Rockfield Nursing Home for their attentiveness and support in the last few months of mum’s life. Also, to mention here, nurse Niamh and all the Resuscitation Team at Daisy Hill Hospital, Newry. We are grateful for all your care and support.

Our warmest thanks to Fr Liam McKinney for delivering a beautiful account of our mother’s life during her Requiem Mass. We are truly thankful for Fr David Toal from St Catherine’s Dominican Church, Newry, who performed the last rites for our dear mother.

Forever thankful to Charles Digney & Sons Funeral Directors for their professional and dignified manner in which they carried out all our funeral requests. Also, to George Preston Florist Newry especially to very talented Evelina who made the most beautiful heart shape wreath. A huge thanks to the GAA Football club Lissummon along with the wonderful Mona McEntee’s catering team.

When you lose your mother a part of you dies inside and the journey of death to resting the remains is an extremely tough road. Everyone on this pathway with us has made it more bearable because of your kindness and all your valuable support.

As it is impossible to thank everyone individually, please accept this acknowledgement as a token of our sincere love, appreciation and gratitude.

The Holy Sacrifice of the Mass has been offered up for all your intentions.

Also remembering at this sad time our late father William John Kenny.

Mum’s Month’s Mind Mass will be celebrated on Sunday September 15, at 10:30am in the Church of Immaculate Conception, 21 Lissummon Road, Newry, Co Armagh. BT35 6NA.
