Acknowledgement for the late John McStravick (Aghgallon)

McStravick, John.

The wife, sons and daughters of the late John McStravick wish to express our sincere thanks to all those who sympathised with us and offered us their support following our recent sad bereavement.

We offer our thanks for the remarkable support we received from our relatives, neighbours and friends who visited during the wake, attended the Requiem Mass, who left Mass cards and sympathy cards, and those who offered their sympathy and kind words. Thank you to our family circle and friends for the hospitality they provided to the many visitors during the wake.

We will be eternally grateful for the help and care given by the GPs, Nurses and staff of Aghalee Surgery, the staff of Aghalee Pharmacy, the Lurgan District Nursing Team and the Marie Curie night team for all your compassion, care and support especially during John’s last few days.

Thank you to Fr Declan Mulligan PP for his guidance and support and for celebrating the Requiem Mass. Thank you to Ciara Mooney for her beautiful singing and music and all who contributed to a wonderful celebration of the Mass. Thank you to Aine McGuinness for providing flower arrangements and to Shauna McStravick for the Mass booklets.

A special thanks to Jack and Margaret McLearnon for the professional and dignified way in which they carried out the funeral arrangements and to Kieran Mulholland for preparing the grave.

A special word of thanks to the committee and members of St Mary’s GAC Aghagallon and especially to those members who formed a Guard of Honour for John. Thanks to the Aghagallon Community Group for providing the use of the Community Hall after the funeral and to Diane Mulholland for providing refreshments.

Finally, our thanks to those who gave donations in lieu of flowers to Aghagallon Apostolic Society. As it is impossible to thank everyone individually, please accept this acknowledgement as an expression of our deepest gratitude.

Mass will be offered for your intentions at John’s Month’s Mind Mass which will be celebrated on Sunday March 10, in St Patrick’s Church, Aghagallon at 11.00am.
