Acknowledgement for the late John Burke (Belleeks)

Burke, John.

We the family of the late John Burke R.I.P. cherished husband of Mary, beloved father to Lorraine, father-in-law to Robert and devoted grandfather to Lisa, Jason, Paula, Eve and Kate, would like to extend our heartfelt thanks to all those who sympathised with us following the passing of John.

We would like to thank all those who visited during the wake, those who sent mass cards, sympathy cards and mass enrolments, to those who called to the house with food and helped at the wake and to those who phoned and sent condolences online, we appreciate your kindness and generosity. A special thank you to all who attended John’s funeral.

Thanks to Dearbhla McCoy and Joanna Doran for the beautiful music and singing during the mass. Thanks to Fr. Murphy for the mass and to Canon Michael Toner for visiting John. Thank you to St Malachy’s Primary School Ballymoyer for their guard of honour.Thank you to St Michael’s Football Club for the use of the hall and to Mona McEntee and Staff for the beautiful food.

A very special word of thanks to the staff of Dundalk Street Surgery and the staff of Clarke’s Chemist Newtownhamilton for showing their compassion and kindness to John over the years. Thank you to Dr. McNicholl, Dr. Larkin and Dr. Lambe (retired) for their professional care towards John.

We would like to express our thanks to the carers and district nurses who cared for John during his illness, showing their kindness and dignified care during his final days.

A sincere thank you to Murray Funeral Directors Cullyhanna for their professionalism, help and support provided to us during the wake and funeral.

A word of thanks to Richard the gravedigger, DMC Designs for the mass booklets and to James Murray for the beautiful flower arrangements.

As it’s impossible to thank everyone individually please accept this acknowledgement as a token of our appreciation and thanks to all.

Sadly missed by all his family but loved and remembered every day.

John’s months mind mass will take place on November 18, 2023 at 7pm in St Malachy’s Church, Ballymoyer.
