Acknowledgement for the late Jim McGrory (Armagh)

Mary McGrory and family wish to express their sincere gratitude for the overwhelming support and sympathy shown them on their recent loss of Jim.

A special thanks to Fr Barry Matthew’s for his spiritual support and guidance and to Dr Eunan McCreesh for his home visits.

Thanks to Eilís Fox and Justin Toner for the beautiful singing and music, the Sacristan and those who prepared the grave.

We are indebted to all our friends, relatives and neighbours who helped us while Jim was ill and who continue to support us.

A huge debt of gratitude is also extended to Dr Róisín O’Reilly and Eimear Moriarty of the Friary Surgery for their exceptional care and attention.

To the District nurses, staff of Ann’s Home Care and the staff of CAH and Daisy Hill Hospitals for their professionalism whilst caring for Jim throughout his illness.

A special thank you also to the staff of St John’s Hospice, Newry for their wonderful care and compassion shown to Jim and our family during his stays in the Hospice.

To all who attended the wake and funeral, sent cards and donated to St John’s Hospice, we are most appreciative.

Thanks also to the members of Pearse Óg football club for their guard of honour on the day.

Thanks to all who brought/provided food and refreshments.

Thank you to Hugo McArdle, funeral Director, and staff for the caring and professional manner in which they carried out the funeral arrangements.

Jim’s months mind Mass will take place on Saturday January 6, 2024 at 10.00a.m. in St Patrick’s Cathedral, Armagh.
