Acknowledgement for the late Jim McClelland (Tassagh)

McClelland, Jim.

We, the family of the late Jim McClelland, would like to thank all those who sympathised with us during our very sad and untimely loss of a dear husband, father, father-in-law, grandfather, brother, uncle, cousin, and friend to many people.

We thank all those who attended the wake and funeral, who brought sympathy cards, telephoned, messaged, and posted online their condolences. We assure you these were a great comfort to all the family. We are indebted with gratitude to our very good neighbours and friends who not only provided much needed support but indeed many years of great friendship.

A heartfelt thanks is extended to the emergency services who attended Jim, the First Responders and NIAS who respectfully and professionally treated him and to all the medical professionals who cared for him also.

We sincerely thank Fr Peter McAnenly for celebrating a very beautiful ceremony and to Fr Greg Carvill for being a good friend to Jim and continuing to be a source of support to all the family. And thank you to Joanne McClelland and Patricia Hagan for providing beautiful music during the funeral mass.

Thanks also to the many businesses and individuals who brought gifts of food and floral tributes during the wake and funeral, we have been overwhelmed with your support and generosity. We thank Sheils for providing the post burial refreshments and to Granemore GFC for the use of the hall, and to its members for their guard of honour.

A special thank you to the gravediggers and to Mone Funeral Directors for their complete, compassionate, and professional handling of all the funeral arrangements.

We hope this acknowledgment will be accepted by all as a sincere token of our appreciation.

Jim’s months mind mass will be celebrated at St Mary’s Church, Granemore on Friday September 8, at 7.30pm.
