Keep up with Armagh i

Acknowledgement for the late Hilary Nugent (Armagh)

Nugent, Hilary.

The family of the late Hilary Nugent (Keady) have requested this notice is published in gratitude and appreciation

Hilary’s husband Raymond, son Fearghal, daughters Kerri and Aine, grandchildren, brothers and sisters wish to express their gratitude to all those who sympathised with them during their recent and sad bereavement of a much loved wife, mummy, nanny, sister and friend to many.

To all our wonderful family, friends and kind neighbours whose help and support was invaluable over the wake and funeral and indeed throughout mummy’s life. To all those who attended the wake and funeral, telephoned, messaged or posted online their condolences we assure you these were greatly appreciated.

We thank also the many individuals and businesses who brought gifts of food to the wake house and for the floral tributes. We must also acknowledge with gratitude the ladies who worked tirelessly in the kitchen to provide tea and refreshments to our wake attendees and to the men who provided parking assistance and general work around the home.

We are forever grateful for the excellent medical and nursing care provided throughout Hilarys illness … to Dr Watters and team from Tassagh Health Centre, Dr Michelle Murray and team from The Mater Hospital Dublin and Dr Convery and his medical and nursing teams from Craigavon hospital.

No words seem adequate to express our sincere appreciation to the many priests and religious who tended to Hilary’s spiritual health … to Fr Gerard McGinnity for his pastoral care on hospital visits, to Fr Sean O’Neill and Fr Aidan McCann from Keady parish for their prayerful and thoughtful presence and to Fr Greg Carvill from Cilchulana parish who celebrated a very beautiful and personal funeral mass. To Catherine and Dermot for providing the music which enhanced the mass and to the Sacriston team for preparing the church.

Finally we thank Bridget and BJ from Mone Funeral Directors for the complete, responsive and professional handling of all the funeral arrangements and to Sheils Restaurant Tassagh for the wonderful post burial refreshments.

At the risk of failing to mention someone we trust this acknowledgement will be accepted by all as a sincere token of our appreciation.

Hilary’s month mind mass will be held in St Patrick’s Church Keady on Saturday June 22, at 6:30pm.
