Acknowledgement for the late Elizabeth ‘Lily’ Murray (Keady)

Murray, Elizabeth (Lily). RIP (Derrynoose and Keady) August 2, 2024.

The sons, daughters, sisters, and the entire family circle of the late Lily Murray wish to thank all those who sympathised with them at their sad loss.

We very much appreciate the many people who attended the wake and funeral, especially those who travelled a distance to pay their respects. It was a great comfort to us to see the esteem in which she was held and to hear so many lovely stories about her.

We are deeply appreciative of the care she was given over the years by all the carers both during her time in Keady and more recently in Derrynoose.

We are grateful to the many people who wrote, telephoned, messaged, or posted online, sent Mass and Sympathy Cards, floral tributes, contributed food and those who made and served tea during the wake.

Special thanks to Canon Crawley and Fr O’Neill who attended her in recent years, Fr McCann who celebrated a most beautiful Funeral Mass accompanied in song by the angelic voice of Marie Fox and to Fr Moore, Fr Flanagan, Fr McGinnity and Fr Brown who visited the house and/ or concelebrated Mass.

Thanks also to the florist for providing the family flowers and to Derrynoose Community Centre for their assistance and the provision of the refreshments following the funeral.
To all those involved in digging the grave and providing the nightly vigils, thank you.

Finally, thanks to Mone Funeral Directors for their sensitive and professional handling of all the funeral arrangements.

In case anyone has been overlooked, we trust that this acknowledgement will be accepted by all as a sincere token of our appreciation for the many acts of great kindness shown to us by our neighbours, relatives, and friends.

Lily’s month’s mind Mass will be held in St Mochua’s Church, Derrynoose on Sunday September 1, at 10:00am.
