Acknowledgement for the late Declan ‘Deckie’ Hunter (Armagh)

Hunter, Declan.

The family of the late Declan (Deckie) Hunter wish to express our sincere and heartfelt appreciation to all our relatives, friends and neighbours who supported us during our recent sad bereavement. For all those who sympathised with us by phone, sent messages of support, mass and sympathy cards, called at the family home or attended the funeral Mass, we greatly appreciated your support.

Thanks to friends and neighbours for their thoughtful gestures of food to the home which were very much appreciated. Special thanks to Mc Anerney’s supermarket and Cordelia’s Chip Shop.

To Fr David Nugent and Fr Barry Matthews we thank you for your pastoral care at this sad time. A special word of thanks to Fr David and Deacon Eunan Mc Creesh for saying the requiem Mass and to all those who participated in the service to provide a truly fitting farewell for Declan. To Roger the Sacristan, Marie Fox and accompanist for the beautiful music.

To all the health professionals involved in Declan’s care, Abbey Court Surgery and Enable Care, we thank you for your care, compassion and support at all times. To Martin Kelly, Funeral Directors, for the professional and dignified manner in which the funeral arrangements were conducted and to the grave diggers for their attention to detail.

As it is impossible to thank everyone individually, please accept this acknowledgement as an expression of our deep gratitude and sincere appreciation.

Declan’s month’s mind mass will be celebrated on Sunday July 21, in Saint Malachys Church at 9.30am.
