Acknowledgement for the late Con O’Neill (Crossmaglen)

O’Neill, Con.

We, the family of the late Con O’Neill, (predeceased by his son Martin), wife Annalene, sons, daughters, and the entire family circle wish to express our heartfelt thanks for the sympathy received following our recent bereavement.

We offer our sincere thanks to everyone who helped throughout the wake, in particular our extended family, neighbours, and friends. We are also grateful to those who generously provided food and refreshments, helped in the home and those who managed the parking. Your assistance was very much appreciated.

We would like to thank those who offered messages of condolences via mass cards, social media, phone calls, floral tributes, and to those who travelled a distance to the funeral mass.

We appreciate the respectful guards of honour provided by the staff of Crossmaglen Health Centre and St Joseph’s High School on the day of Con’s funeral.

The family is very appreciative of the continued support and guidance from Fr. Dermot, who took the time to visit Con in his home regularly. Many thanks to those who visited Con at home throughout his illness, he enjoyed your company and it was a great comfort to him and our family and for that we are forever grateful.

Our heartfelt thanks to the Medical Teams who looked after Con’s needs with incredible care, kindness and compassion. In particular, we would like to acknowledge Dr. Margaret Fee and Dr. Micheal Connolly, Denise and Catherine and the entire District Nursing Team, Glenda from the Palliative Care Team, Eleanor and the Enable Home Care Team, and Hospice at Home Team. We would also like to thank the Clerical Staff and Pharmacy Team within Crossmaglen Health Centre for their compassionate support and advice.

A special word of thanks to Fr Dermot for the beautiful and personal requiem mass celebrating Con’s life. We also like to thank Dearbhla, Joanna and Patrick, who complemented the requiem mass with beautiful hymns and music. We are very grateful to Andrew for preparing Con’s final resting place, and to Bernie for the beautiful floral arrangements.

Thank you to Mona and McEntees Catering Staff for the refreshments provided and the staff at Cross Square Hotel for the use of their facilities. We are also grateful to DMC Designs who prepared the funeral mass booklets.

A special thank you to McConville’s Funeral Directors especially Paddy and Eugene with the assistance of Michael McCreesh Funeral Director. They carried out the funeral arrangements and guided us through this difficult time in a dignified and professional manner.

As it is impossible to thank everyone personally, we trust this acknowledgment will be accepted as a token of our appreciation to you all.

Con’s month’s mind mass will take place on Saturday August 31, at 6.30pm in St Patrick’s Church, Crossmaglen.

“Our Lady of Knock pray for him.”
