Acknowledgement for the late Ciara McElvanna (Madden)

Ciara McElvanna

McElvanna, Ciara.

We, Ciara’s family, wish to express our deep gratitude to everyone who supported us during this period of tragic loss. We thank all those who attended Ciara’s wake, funeral and month’s mind masses and everyone who offered their thoughts, prayers, messages and letters of sympathy and support.

We would like to sincerely thank all emergency services who attended the scene of the accident. In particular, we want to express our deep gratitude to those who cared for Ciara, especially the Fire, Paramedics, Ambulance and Police crews and those members of the public who provided assistance.

We thank the nursing and medical staff of the Royal Victoria Hospital ED, ICU and Organ Donation teams. We will be forever grateful for the compassionate care and support given to Ciara and our family.

Special thanks is offered to our friends and neighbours in Madden, Bleary and beyond who have comforted and supported us at this difficult time. In particular, we wish to acknowledge the huge contribution of Madden Raparees GAC, St Joseph’s Camogie Club, the wider GAA family and the support of the local nursing and medical professions.

We are extremely grateful to Fr O’Neill and Fr McCann and all who contributed to Ciara’s funeral mass. We especially thank Catherine Grimley Hughes and Dermot McCusker for the beautiful music and Damian Smith Funeral Director for his compassionate professionalism and guidance throughout. On behalf of the Children’s HeartBeat Trust and Air Ambulance, we offer sincere gratitude for the charitable donations in lieu of flowers.

We hope that you will continue to keep Ciara and our family in your thoughts and prayers.
