Christmas Craft Fayre and Bazaar at Cuan Mhuire

Cuan Mhuire Newry are hosting a Christmas Craft Fayre & Bazaar on Saturday 6th December and Sr Consilio, together with residents, management and staff, extend an invitation to all to come along and enjoy the day.

Cuan Mhuire was founded by Sr Consilio Fitzgerald and is currently Ireland’s largest voluntary provider of support and rehabilitation treatment for individuals suffering from addiction and other related issues.

Gerry Mc Elroy from Cuan Mhuire speaking at the launch of this year’s Christmas event told those present, “We couldn’t continue our work without the wonderful generosity of families, community and individuals. We really appreciate their support.

“On behalf of the Cuan Mhuire family I extend an invitation to all to feel free and call into our Christmas Craft Fayre & at our Newry Centre on the Old Dublin Road between 12 noon and 4pm. There will be plenty of fun and festivities for young and not so young.

Newry and Mourne Mayor Dáire Hughes, who attended the launch to offer his and Newry & Mourne Council’s continued support to Sr Consilio and her staff, said, “Cuan Mhuire since its formation in 1966 by Sr. Consilio, has treated over 75,000 people. Now more than ever the life saving and changing services on offer from Cuan Mhuire are desperately needed and I wish Sr Consilio and the Cuan Mhuire family well in their continued endeavoured to help those in need.”
