A ‘large quantity’ of tablets have been found today by police in Newry today (Wednesday).
The discovery was made in the city by the Newry City Neighbourhood Police Team.
A spokesperson for police described some of the tablets found as “extremely dangerous”.
They continued: “Taking these tablets out of circulation has no doubt saved lives. We remain committed to removing all types of drugs from our streets.
“If you have any information concerning drug related activity please contact your local Neighbourhood Police team or alternatively contact us anonymously on Crimestoppers via 0800 555 111.”
