Country talent to perform at opening Festival of Families in Armagh

The countdown is on and excitement is building towards World Meeting of Families (WMOF) which takes place from Wednesday, August 22 – Sunday, August 26 in Dublin.

To launch this historic event, the Archdiocese of Armagh and Armagh City will host an opening festival beginning on Tuesday, August 21 at 5pm in the Shambles Market.

The festival is free to all and promises to be a joyful celebration of family including music, dance, bouncy castles, face painting and a wide range of other activities, for people of all ages.

We are delighted to feature at the Festival the wonderful talent of Malachi Cush, Andrea Begley, Cliona Hagan, Niamh McGlinchy and Anna Plata Kostecka to name but a few performers on the day.

At 7pm there will be a procession from the Shambles Market to St. Patrick’s Cathedral, followed by Evening Prayer from 7:30 – 8:15pm.

COME AND BE PART OF IT!
