As our landscapes change and we welcome autumn, be inspired and fall in love with nature at our very special National Trust venues…all on your doorstep.

There’s a palette of colours and host of events waiting to be discovered across Co Armagh in the coming months.

Apple Sundays at Ardress

The ideal location to hear all about Armagh’s famous apples and have some family fun. Have a go on the apple press, sample MacIvors cider and local honey, and explore the orchards on a guided tour….just some of the highlights at our Apple Sundays. Normal Admission. Members free. October 6, 13, 20, and 27, 11am-5pm.

Meet the Artist at Ardress

Join Mairead Duffy, local artist and volunteer at work in the apple orchards, capturing the beauty of Ardress on canvass. Mairead will also have a selection of artwork on sale. Weather permitting. Normal Admission. Members free. October 20, 1-4pm.

Halloween at The Argory

Visit The Argory Pumpkin Patch and explore the Halloween trail. Search for the clues that will help you learn about the creepy critters and beastly bugs around the estate. Watch out for the Mad Scientist! Additional charge for pumpkins. Normal Admission. Members free. October 26-31 , 11am-4pm.

Autumn Woodland Walk

Join Rosemary, our Ranger at Derrymore, on an autumn walk identifying nature’s wonders around Derrymore Estate, Bessbrook. Meet at Derrymore car park. No charge. Donations welcome. November 2, 10am–12noon.

Christmas Wreath Workshop

Learn the tricks behind making beautiful Christmas wreaths and what materials are the best to use. Take your creation home and display for friends and family over the festive period. Please wrap up warm and bring gloves and secateurs with you. Booking essential. Adult £25  Member Adult £25. Email: argory@nationaltrust.org.uk. November 26, 10.30am-12.30pm.

The Argory Christmas Fair

The festive period is not complete without a visit to the Argory’s Christmas Fair, featuring a variety of craft, food and drink stalls, as well as traditional festive entertainment. Soak up the wonderful atmosphere and see the house decorated for Christmas. Normal Admission. Members free. November 30 and December 1, 11am-5pm.
