Dundalk Stadium stage Matthews.ie Diamond Stakes next Friday

Dundalk Stadium, Ireland’s only all-weather racecourse is set to stage the Matthews.ie Diamond Stakes, a Group 3 flat race open to thoroughbreds aged three years or older.

The Diamond Stakes moved to Dundalk in 2008, and since then it has been run on a polytack surface over one mile, two furlongs and 150 yards. It became Ireland’s first non-turf Group race in 2009, when it was promoted to Group 3 status.  ‘Mootasadir” trained by Hugo Palmer and ridden by Pat Cosgrave won the event last year.

The Diamond Stakes is kindly sponsored by Matthews .ie  this innovative family firm have set many standards across the industry and provide an excellent and efficient service to their customers across their commuter, tours and private hire services.
