A 50-year-old man who was arrested by police investigating a report of an assault which occurred in the Main Street area of Ballygawley on Boxing Day evening has been released on bail to allow for further enquiries.
The victim, who was in his 50s, was assaulted with a metal grate in Main Street area shortly before 7pm.
Said a PSNI spokesperson: “Enquiries are continuing, and anyone who has any information which might assist is asked to call 101, and quote reference number 1024 26/12/24.”
