McAlinden, (Aghacommon, Lurgan) May 4, 2026, (peacefully) at Craigavon Area Hospital surrounded by his loving family. Gerard, beloved husband of Annie and a devoted father of Martina (Mark) and Brendan, a cherished grandfather of Natalie (Jonny) and caring great-grandfather of Lydia, Evan and Eoin.
Son of the late Sally and Willie McAlinden (Charlestown Road, Derrytrasna) and a dear brother of Vincy, Denise, Martina, Denis, Leonard and the late William-James, Kevin, John, Terence, Dympna, Philomena, Stephen and Leo. A loving brother-in-law and uncle to all his many nieces and nephews.
Gerard will be reposing at his family home, 170 Ballynamoney Road, Lurgan, BT66 6LD, from Thursday from 12 noon to 8.00 pm, where family and friends are welcome to visit and pay their respects.
Funeral from the family home on Friday at 10.30 am to St. Patrick’s Church, Derrymacash for 11.00 am Requiem Mass. Burial afterwards in the adjoining cemetery.
Will be sadly missed and always remembered by his entire family circle.
