Campbell, Brendan (Newry) April 29, 2026, (peacefully) at Craigavon Area Hospital, late of Clanrye Fold, Newry and formerly Pinkerton Street, New Lodge Road, Belfast.
Brendan’s remains will repose at 16 Highfields Drive, Newry, BT35 8UQ from 6-10pm (Thursday April 30) and Friday (May 1) from 11am-9pm. A Humanist Celebration of Brendan’s life will take place at 10.30am on Saturday May 2 at McGennity’s Funeral Home, Forkhill Road, Newry, BT35 8LZ. Family and friends are warmly invited to attend, pay their respects, and bid Brendan a final farewell. Brendan’s remains will be taken for cremation, details to follow.
Very deeply regretted by his former wife Geraldine Donaghy, his sister Briege, sisters-in-law Kate and Betsy, brothers-in-law Don, Peter and Barri, his nieces, nephews, friends and the wider family circle.
Brendan was a long standing Trade Union Official (SIPTU). “United we bargain, divided we beg.”
