A woman has been rushed to hospital following a road traffic collision in county Armagh this afternoon.
It is understood the accident involved a car and a concrete lorry on the Legacorry Road in Richhill.
The road has been closed off as the police, fire and ambulance services attend the scene.
A Ambulance Service spokesperson confirmed that a young woman has been taken to Craigavon hospital with her condition described as “serious”.
This is the second serious accident in little over a week in rural county Armagh.
Two teenage friends were killed earlier this month.
Andrew Gass and Mark Hutcheson, both 17, were killed in a single vehicle RTC near Markethill last week. They were both led to rest at the weekend.
Our thoughts are with the injured woman at this critical time.
DUP MLA William Irwin said: “News coming through of another very serious accident this time close to Richhill village. On my way to the scene now. Remember those involved and please please take care on the roads.”
Legacorry Road, Richhill closed following a collision. Motorists should seek an alternative route.
