Woman arrested over filling station theft

A 32-YEAR-OLD woman has been reported to the Public Prosecution Service after a theft at a filling station at Lurgan Road in Portadown.

At 11.13am on Thursday, police received a report of a female stealing two CDs and making off in a Ford Galaxy car. They located and stopped the vehicle in a short space of time and a 32-year-old woman was arrested and subsequently reported to the PPS.

Constable McKinney, Portadown Response, said: “This demonstrates our commitment to tackling all crime in the community and also highlights the successful partnership work between Neighbourhood and Response Teams, which enabled us to locate and stop this vehicle within 10 minutes.

“We would encourage the public to continue to report all crime and suspicious activity to us.”
