A woman who has appeared in court in relation to the death of a county Armagh teenager five years ago was refused bail because she is considered a flight risk.
Coleen McCann, 21, from Castleblayney, appeared in the District Court in Carrickmacross, Co Monaghan this morning (Wednesday).
She was initially arrested after stepping off a flight from the United States.
McCann is charged with dangerous driving, causing the death of 17-year-old Ciaran McKenna from Crossmaglen.
Mr McKenna died following the accident in Castleblayney in July 2012.
The defendant was refused bail because Gardai told the court she is a potential ‘flight risk’.
The court heard that previous attempts to interview, or charge the woman, who also used an address at Crossmaglen, were unsuccessful.
