Two males aged 27 and 16 have been arrested in the Station Road area of Scarva in the early hours of Tuesday 10 November on suspicion of burglary.
The arrests follow a distraction burglary that occurred in the Bawnmore Park area of Newtownabbey on the morning of Monday 9 November.
Detective Inspector Millar said: “At approximately 10.20am, a male called at the door of an elderly lady and asked her to go round to the back of the house. While the woman was distracted, one other male went into her home.
“At this time, it is not believed that anything has been taken. The two males are believed to have been travelling in a silver Peugeot 307.
“The two males currently remain in custody assisting police with their enquiries.”
