Three men arrested as part of the ongoing major international drug trafficking operation have tonight been charged with various drugs offences, including conspiracy to supply cannabis.
A 32-year-old man will appear before a special sitting of Newry Magistrates’ Court this Saturday, April 4.
The other two men arrested yesterday, aged 40 and 53, will appear before a special sitting of Newtownards Magistrates’ Court.
The value of the cannabis seized at Mullaghbawn in South Armagh is now believed to be in the region of £275,000. Originally, the estimated street value had been given as £200,000.
As is normal procedure, the charges against the three men will be reviewed by the Public Prosecution Service.
