Police investigating after home’s windows smashed with hammer in Gilford

Police are investigating reports of criminal damage in Gilford after a house’s windows were smashed with a hammer.

On the morning of Wednesday, September 4, police received a report that a number of windows of the front of the house – in the Castleview area – had been smashed.

It’s believed the damage was caused deliberately at approximately 1.30am by an unknown suspect with a hammer.

A PSNI spokesperson said: “Enquiries are ongoing and we are appealing to anyone who was in the area and noticed anyone acting suspiciously during the early hours of Wednesday morning, September 4 to contact police on 101, quoting reference number 543 04/09/24.”
