Cash and jewellery stolen from house in Scarva

A house in the middle of Scarva was broken into and had cash and jewellery stolen.

Detectives are appealing for information following the burglary at a property in the Main Street area of the village last week.

Detective Sergeant Stewart said: “We received a report that sometime between the morning of Thursday, May 11 and the early hours of Friday, May 12 that someone had gained access to a house in the Main Street area of the town and taken a number of items including cash and jewellery.

“I would appeal to anyone who may have witnessed anyone suspicious in the area or to anyone with CCTV or doorbell footage that could assist with enquiries, to contact detectives on 101 quoting reference 76 of 12/05/23.”
