The brother of Dario Cecconi says there will be no funeral for the rider who tragically passed away following an accident at the Tandragee 100 on Saturday.
However, the Italian native says some of his ashes will be scattered here “to leave a small trace of him here with his friends too”.
Brother Luca posted on Facebook: “For those who asked me about Dario’s funeral. Dario surely wanted to help someone in need, you can imagine how.
“After that he will be cremated to leave a small trace of him here with his friends too.
“For this reason there will be no funeral, but we will surely organize something as soon as we will be back and I will keep you updated about it.
“Meanwhile the Irish family circle is organizing a lap of the course with some riders to pay tribute to their friend. This is our decision and I hope you all agree.”
A similar tribute was paid to the late Dr John Hinds. The flying doctor – a regular at the Tandragee 100 – was involved in an accident while providing medical cover at a Skerries 100 practice session in July 2015.
Another life lost too soon. May he rest in peace.
