Funeral of Co Armagh father-of-five who died suddenly to take place on Wednesday

The funeral of a Co Armagh father-of-five who died suddenly over the weekend will take place on Wednesday.

Jason Trainor, who was in his early 40s, passed away unexpectantly on Saturday, January 19.

Police were called to a house in the Eden Terrace area of Jonesborough to investigate.

A PSNI spokesperson confirmed: “Police attended the scene of the sudden death of a man, aged in his 40s, in the Eden Terrace area of Jonesborough on Saturday 19 January.

“A post mortem has taken place and his death is not being treated as suspicious.”

Mr Trainor, from Poyntzpass, was the much-loved son of Tess and the late Tony.

He was a devoted father to Natalie, Nathan, Chloe, Holly and Leah and a loving brother of Ciaran and Barry, loving granda of Aligarh and loving partner of Jennifer Matthews and boys.

His partner Jennifer simply described him as “my best friend, my soul mate”.

His remains will leave his mother’s residence 15a Chapel Street, Poyntzpass on Wednesday at 11.45am for 12noon Requiem Mass in St Joseph’s Church, Poyntzpass. Burial afterwards in the adjoining cemetery.
