Police in Lurgan are reminding householders to secure their sheds and outbuildings following the theft of two powerwashers.
Some time over the weekend Friday, November 1 to Monday, November 4, two powerwashers were taken from a shed and an outbuilding. In the first incident a red Honda GX390 powerwasher (with yellow hose) was taken from a shed to the rear of a property on Collane Road, Aghalee.
In the second incident a blue Nilfisk Alto Poseidon 5.31 powerwasher was taken from a stable to the rear of a property on Brankinstown Road, Aghalee.
Police are appealing to anyone who has information in relation to the theft or whereabouts of the washers to contact them in Lurgan on 0845 600 8000.
Police are also urging householders to take proactive steps to ensure outbuildings are secured.
Constable Briers, Craigavon Response, said: “All householders should ensure that their outhouses and sheds are properly locked with padlocks. Many of us don’t consider the shed or garage when looking at ‘home’ security however the items they contain are often very expensive.
“I would also recommend property marking such items with your postcode or other individual marking so that they are easily identifiable.”
