Tributes paid following sad passing of well-known Richhill ‘gentleman’ Jack McNally

Tributes have been paid to a well-known Co. Armagh man following his sad passing on Thursday.

Jack McNally, from Richhill, passed away peacefully at Rosemount Care Home earlier today.

Richhill AFC led the tributes to Mr McNally, who was husband to Flo, and father to Tracy and the late John.

“Richhill AFC send our condolences to Flo, Tracy and devoted grandfather of William, Emily and Sarah and father of late John on the passing of Jack McNally 16th April 2020 (Peacefully) at Rosemount Care Home. Thoughts and prayers are with the family circle at this sad time.”

Lord Mayor Mealla Campbell also offered her condolences to his wife Flo and family.

“My deepest sympathy to Flo and family – my thoughts and prayers are with you all at this difficult time,” she said.

Others described Jack as a “lovely man” and gentleman.

One woman posted: “He was an absolute gentleman and always so friendly. I loved chatting to him. We always had a laugh about something. He’ll always be remembered in bowling circles.”

Ulster Unionist councillor Jim Speers added: “Truly sorry and devastated to have learned this morning of the death of Jack McNally, a life long family friend. I extended my deepest heartfelt sympathy to my dear friend Flo, Tracey the grandchildren & wider family circle.”

Due to government restrictions, Mr McNally’s house and funeral will be strictly private.
