Police treating Richhill incident as ‘racially-motivated hate crime’

Police are investigating a report of attempted criminal damage in Richhill on Saturday May 25.

It was reported around 9.50am that, sometime overnight, a bottle, with a smell of accelerant from an attached rag, had been thrown towards a wall of an address in the Millview Park area. No damage was caused.

Sergeant Paul Stewart said: “An investigation to establish the circumstances of this incident, which we are treating as a racially-motivated hate crime, is ongoing, and we are appealing for witnesses to contact us on 101 quoting 439 25/05/24.”
