Pipers bring smiles to staff and residents at care facilities in Richhill and Armagh

'Their efforts raised a smile at these times. It was so good to see them and lovely to hear'

Pipers from Bessbrook Crimson Arrow Pipe Band brought smiles to the faces of residents and staff at two local care facilities.

Members gathered outside Hockley Nursing Home in Armagh before travelling the short distance to the Meadows Care Home in Richhill.

On both occasions they played a number of items and were well received.

It is part of the weekly ‘Clap for our Carers’ event.

One local resident in Richhill said: “It meant so much to see them come all the way over here just to show their support.

“Their efforts raised a smile at these times. It was so good to see them and lovely to hear.

“We would love to see them back again under better circumstances.”
