Mobile phone users in Richhill and surrounding areas should see their service restored – and improved – by the evening of October 20, following days of “annoying” signal problems.
Newry and Armagh MLA Gareth Wilson said the disruption is “directly linked to ongoing improvement works” at the mast serving the locality.
“Having raised concerns on behalf of users who have experienced low or no signal at all, I am reliably informed by network operators that the planned improvement works should be complete by the evening of 20th October,” said the DUP representative.
“Hopefully when the work is complete signal will not only be restored but it will be improved as the operators suggest.
“With many people only having a mobile as their only means of communication and no landline, a decent signal in this day and age is absolutely vital.”
