Prices easier at sheep sale

HEAVY lambs sold from £97 to £105 each at Markethill on Wednesday (May 29) with prices easier on the week. Top price 430p per kilo was paid for24 kilos @ £103 each.

Suitable middleweight lambs sold to 460p per kilo for 20 kilos @ £92, followed by 454p per kilo for 21.5 kilos @ £97.50 each. Main demand sold from 410p to 425p per kilo.

Good quality cull ewes sold from £60 to £82 each with 2nd quality from £40 to £55 each.

Another full yard of Ewes and Lambs sold in a firmer demand. Good quality doubles sold from £150 to £200 each. Singles sold from £120 to £194 each.
