Police noticed a number of scramblers being used in the Tandragee Road area of Portadown and when they spoke to a man found he was uninsured.
Patrick Costa (21), of Tandragee Road, came to police attention on January 19 this year.
Craigavon Magistrates’ Court was told police “noticed a number of persons on scrambler motorbikes in the area of Annaghdale Place”.
They spoke to one of the riders – the defendant – who was uninsured.
A defence lawyer said the defendant had been fixing the bike which belonged to a relative and had gone out to “test it”.
The defendant was banned from driving for three months and was fined £300.
