Teenager hospitalised after assault by ‘group of men dressed in dark clothing’ in Portadown

A teenage boy was hospital after an attack by a group of men in Portadown on Saturday evening.

Police are appealing for information following the incident which occurred in the Killycomain Park area of the town, at around 8.40pm.

The victim suffered injuries to his head, leg and torso as a result of the vicious attack.

A PSNI spokesperson said: “Officers attended with the boy and he reported that he had been set upon by a group of men dressed in dark clothing with black face coverings, sustaining injuries to his head, leg and torso.

“He travelled to hospital for treatment and thankfully his injuries are not thought to be serious at this time.

“Our enquiries into this incident are ongoing and we would appeal to anyone who was in the area at the time and noticed anything suspicious, or who may have relevant CCTV, dashcam or mobile phone footage, to contact police on 101, quoting reference 1850 of 04/02/23.”
